What you need //
Glutinous rice flour - tepung beras pulut
Rice flour – tepung beras
Water – secukupnya
Drops of food coloring – I use purple color
Gula Melaka – brown sugar
Grated coconut –I use bread crumbs hehe you should try it!!
//Preparation:
In a bowl, Mix 3 cups of glutinous rice flour, with 1 cup of rice flour.
In a glass of water, drop a tiny drop of food coloring.
Pour the colored water into bowl of flour and mix it well until it form into slightly soft dough. It should be firm but soft and not sticky to your fingers!
When it’s done, you need to ready a hot boiling pan.
Here’s a simple step of what to do with the flour that you’ve mix!
Steps 1 – roll the dough into small ball – any size u like.
Step 2- press the middle of the dough
Step 3- add in the gula Melaka
Back to step 1, roll it back until it form into round ball. – to cover the gula Melaka inside..
Next step is… in a hot boiling pan, put the rounded ball in and it is ready to be taken out when the balls started to float!

and finally,
allow to cool. serve & ready to be eaten!!

Puteri mandi – is kueh melayu. A Malay culinary and it is one of my all time favorite! Reminds me of Ramadhan / fasting month for the reason that I usually made this during fasting month for my aunty to be sell at gerai ramadhan!
